Williams Moreton School > Curriculum > Humanities Curriculum - Humanities Humanities Faculties Humanities is an improving faculty that strives for success.  The faculty has 4 classrooms with one interactive whiteboard. We offer an exciting, demanding and highly rewarding environment in which to work. We are a professional, hard working team but also pride ourselves on being friendly and supportive. The Humanities faculty at Moreton is made up of a combination of the Geography, History and Religious Studies  subjects. The faculty is a good mix of experienced and more recently qualified staff who work effectively together. At KS3, Geography, History and Religious Studies are taught in ability set groups with students having two to three hours of each subject across the two week timetable. All subjects offer well planned courses following the National Curriculum guidelines and in the case of Religious Studies, the Wolverhampton Agreed Syllabus. Although as a faculty we recognize the importance of maintaining the integrity of our separate subjects we work very closely together in a number of areas including assessment, curriculum content and extra curricular activities. At KS4 Geography, History and Religious Studies are offered at GCSE level. Religious Studies is run as a compulsory short course in line with statutory requirements, for those students who do not opt for RS as a full course. Our subjects are taught in specialist teaching rooms. We are very well equipped in terms of texts, teaching resources and specialist equipment. ICT is integrated into teaching wherever possible.
